Wie wär's? (Imagine)

Imagine there’s no heaven,   it’s easy if you try,

no hell below us,   above us only sky!

Imagine all the people   living for today.

 
Imagine there’s no country,   it isn’t hard to do,

nothing to kill or die for   and no religion too!

Imagine all the people  living life in peace.

 
You may say I’m a dreamer,

but I’m not the only one.

I hope some day you will join us,

and the world will be one.

 

Wie wär’s, wenn keiner glaubte ans Glück erst nach dem Tod,

sich seines Muts beraubte,  weil ihm ein Teufel droht?

Wie wär’s, wenn jeder lebte  bewusst im Hier und Heut?

 

Wie wär’s denn ohne Grenzen,  wär’s den Versuch nicht wert?

Ganz ohne Not und Elend  lebt sich’s erst unbeschwert.

Wie wär’s, wenn  frei in Frieden  die Menschheit endlich lebt?

 

Ich weiß, du meinst, ich sollt nicht träumen,

doch träum ich, glaub mir, nicht allein!

Lass uns gemeinsam nicht versäumen,

für eine bess’re Welt zu sein!

 

Wie wär’s, wenn all der Reichtum  bald allen gleich gehört

und nicht mehr Neid und Habgier die Menschlichkeit zerstört?

Wie wär’s, wenn jeder lebte  nicht nur für sich allein?

 

Ich weiß, du meinst, ich sollt nicht träumen,

doch träum ich, glaub mir, nicht allein!

Lass uns gemeinsam nicht versäumen,

für eine bess’re Welt zu sein!
